What is sleep apnea?
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) occurs when the soft tissue in a person’s throat repeatedly collapses and blocks the airway during sleep. These partial reductions and complete pauses in breathing typically last between 10 and 30 seconds but can persist for one minute or longer. These pauses can happen hundreds of times a night, leading to abrupt reductions and abrupt oxygen levels. The brain alerts the body to its lack of oxygen, causing a brief arousal from sleep that restores normal breathing.
The result is a fragmented quality of sleep that often leads to excessive daytime sleepiness. Most people with OSA snore loudly and frequently, with periods of silence when airflow is reduced or blocked. They then make choking, snorting or gasping sounds when their airway reopens.

What is TMJ?
Do you suffer from chronic headaches and migraines? Do you often feel soreness in your jaw, head, face, or neck? Does your jaw pop, lock, or make clicking sounds on opening and closing? You may be one of the millions of Americans suffering from TMJ or TMD, and you may not even realize it!
Thankfully, we can diagnose you and not only treat your pain but prevent it from happening in the first place!
How we can help you
We can create a custom TMJ mouth guard that will help realign the jaw, allowing the joints and ligaments responsible for jaw movement to relax, and sit as they are supposed to—alleviating many of these painful symptoms and allowing you to remember what it was like to live a life without the chronic myofascial pain associated with TMJ. Oral appliance therapy with TMJ mouth guards offers a simple, non-invasive, and cost-effective solution without the need for surgery or prescription pain medication.
